Will a punch made with ginger ale retain its fizz after it has been frozen and then thawed?

I want to make a punch with ginger ale and freeze some of it as cubes. I can add these cubes to the fountain as the punch becomes depleted to replenish the amount, keep it cold and retain the strength.|||no|||I do this myself, to keep it cold, but not to "replenish" it. the frozen punch will lose it's fizz, but it still is a good way to keep the punch cold. As your punch goes down, just add more fresh ingredients, and it will still stay fizzy but be cold. Instead of using ice cubes, I freeze my punch in a jello ring mold, or if you punch bowl is big enough, a bundt cake mold. That slows down the melting, so that also helps the punch stay cold and fizzy. Have a good party.|||no. It's like when you add ice, eventually it will go flat.|||Sure. I'm almost 100%.|||You're doing exactly what you should be doing. Just freeze some ice cubes and use as needed!|||Nope--it will not have fizz, but, this is still a good way to keep your punch strong. I have frozen punch (without the ginger ale) to do the same thing. The cubes of punch (which are concentrated) will keep up the strength and keep it cold; you can add ginger ale to correct the strength and volume.

If you want to get really fancy, you can put some fruit (or edible flowers) in the punch before you freeze the cubes (or larger amounts in bowls--which also work very well for this purpose) for a decorative touch.

Have a great party!|||No, the freezing will drive out the carbonation. That's why punch recipes ask that you freeze non-gingeraled punch cubes to add later along with some just opened ginger ale to maintain strength and coldness.
