I need a good punch recipe for my party?

It's a murder mystery party on Halloween set at a costume ball. And what's a ball without punch? So what are some recipes that you have tried and liked that would be appropriate for this kind of setting? I would prefer no chunks of fruit in it.|||Sounds like a fun party!! You can drop a little chunk of dry ice (size of normal ice cube) into the punch bowl to (1) keep it cold (2)make it smoke and (3)look kind of eerie... (4) it will also carbonate the punch, like soda!

GREEN PUNCH

3 packages of lime Kool-Aid

4 quarts chilled water

2陆 cups sugar

2 tall cans pineapple juice, chilled

2 quarts ginger ale, chilled

Mix everything together and chill.

Just before serving, add 2 quarts chilled ginger ale.

-------------------------

Orange Cream Punch

1 quart orange sherbet

1 quart vanilla ice cream

1 (6 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed

1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled

Garnish: Orange slices and cherries

Place sherbet, vanilla ice cream and frozen orange juice concentrate in a punch bowl. Allow to thaw for 10 to 15 minutes. Stir in ginger ale and add fruit garnish as desired.

-------------------

Pink and Bubbly Punch

2 (6 ounce) cans frozen pink lemonade concentrate

1 (6 ounce) can frozen pineapple juice concentrate

1 gallon cranberry juice

2 liters cranberry ginger ale

4 cups crushed ice

In a large punch bowl, mix lemonade concentrate, pineapple juice concentrate and cranberry juice. Add ice and slowly pour in the ginger ale.|||I'm trying this recipe I got online for my son's Halloween party. It's called Green slime Punch:

2 (1 1/2 liter) bottles ginger ale

1 gallon green sherbet

one block dry ice, wrapped in cheese cloth

Put green sherbet ice cream and the block of dry ice wrapped in cheese cloth in a large bowl.

Pour ginger ale on top, creating a smoke, stir till sherbet ice cream is melted and serve. Makes 12 servings. You could place the large bowl in one of those plastic cauldron's they sell at halloween stores. I'm personally going to try this recipe with rainbow sherbet instead of the green sherbet, because I think that's how they made it at one of the Halloween parties one of my kid's had in kindergarten some years back. It was very good. I got the recipe for the green slime punch from www.recipezaar.com, Hope your party is a success!|||If you have a nice big punch bowl, make an ice ring in a ring tin (cake tin) with seedless grapes, sliced kiwi fruit, and sliced oranges in it. that gets rid of the fruit chunks because they will be frozen in the ice, solves the cold issue and adds dramatic interest.

for the liquid part mix ginger ale, lemonade and fruit juice in roughly equal proportions according to your taste- I usually go heavy on the lemonade.

If you want something a bit more 'magical' here's my Love Potion punch:

freeze strawberry slices and rose petals in an ice ring. Mix together equal amounts of non alcoholic rose wine and lemonade and add a bottle of rosewater. If you are in Australia, use Love Potion cordial instead of rosewater.|||I haven't tried these but they sure look yummy.

You also find non-alcoholic punch recipes at this website!|||http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Fresh-Cranb鈥?/a> u should put red food coloring in it, though i never tried it.|||1 bottle of Cranberry cocktail,

1 can of lemonade

1 bottle of ginger ale

If you want to cut down on the sugar just buy sugar reduced items.|||Take a pint of orange or lime sherbet; %26amp; place in a punch bowl.

Pour a litre/quart bottle of purple grape juice over it.

Then dilute with 7-Up or Sprite until acceptable colour.
