How come some people can take a punch better than others?

I have some friends who do backyard boxing. A large group of kids will get together and then matchups will be made. It seems like sometimes someone will hit someone with a huge punch and it doesn't really affect the person and other times a short, close in punch will knock them down or out. I've only fought twice and everyone says I have a "glass" jaw because I get knocked down a lot. Can you learn to take punches better?|||No!!! the objective in boxing is to stick and move and try not to get punched.A glass jaw is a person who mostly fights with his chin out to be hit with a short left hook or right hand lead. The key is to keep your chin down and your hands up with your forehead leading While looking at your opponents chest and chin. The key to winning the next time practice on your foot work.A good exercise is to go to a basketball court and shoot hoops but each time you miss run for the ball and shoot it were you catch up with it none stop even if you don't know how to play b ball still do it trust me.The fighters that knock you out learn to keep your chin down keep moving and jab to keep him trying to get a good shot they mostly look for one good punch while chasing you and start getting tired don't focus on jabbing his face to keep him back hit his arms and chest but keep moving. You will see a open to hit him with a power shot when he swings from frustration and get hit with something from the blind side. These shots knock them out. When he gets hit he will get desperate so clinch him to slow him down then start back to the game plan it worked for me. let me no how you did|||the ability to take a punch is a gift justlike the ability punch hard or speed, it has to do with genetics and then you practice to make the skill better, I think a lot of people think with proper technique and training they can somehow turn themselves into a great fighter but some people just ain't good athletes, just like some people ain't good looking or some people ain't good at English and math, it's good to know yourself and deal with what you can and can not do, now I am not saying do not try to do what you love, if you like to box then become ad good as you want to be at it, but a pro fighter is a rare thing and someone with an iron jaw is even rarer then that, maybe you were not born to fight or maybe you need to use your speed more to not get hit, whatever it is figure out your gifts and try to use them to your advantage, good luck kid, remember to stick and move|||some people can take shots better

stronger chin drinking milk i guess or chewing gum or something

some people use medicine ball for taking better shots

some people genetics or strength just gives them a better threshhold for pain

some people get hit by there parent or someone stronger or older you eventually get use to it

and most importantly its how you train also|||Stronger and more experienced.
