So I've noticed that professional wrestlers sometimes stamp on the mat when they throw a punch. Does this make the punch hurt more?|||Physics proves that when they stamp it's a run off of energy meaning that the punch contains more power. This in effect causes more pain to the opponent.|||alot of people say its t make the sound of a punch or whatever
but i dont think so, i think it gets the crowd behind them more, like punches with the stamp will get cheered more.
its hard to explain but a punch without the stamp kinda doesnt look right or looks boring(because they cant hit eachother with closed fist so they wont be amazingly powerful)|||The punch does not hurt at all. The punch is an illusion. Thats why they call it Sports Entertainment. They stamp on the ground to make the punch look real, and more effective. Sometimes they do not stomp on the ground though. Don't think Wrestling punches are real. They are well illusioned. Thats why I love it :)|||Lol, is this a serious question or one to be sarcastic to try to bag on prowrestling? They do it for sound effect, as others of had said, to give the punches more impact.|||No, it makes it sound like they hit the other person really hard instead of dancing around like a pillock, which is what they're actually doing.|||It's to make it sound as if they punched with full force. Although I find guys like JBL %26amp; Christians only very so slightly pulled punchs more convincing.|||it so it makes the punch sound really really sore x|||its so it can make an illusion so u would think hes hitting the opponent, its like the sweet chin music, watch shawn slap his leg when he hits the opponent|||No it is for sound effects.|||No because the whole of professional wrestling is a sham; its theatre; its fantasy; but it ain't sport!
