How do you develope the power that goes into a punch?

My friends say that when I throw a punch that it's "kind of weak". I'm wondering if I could train myself to throw a faster and harder punch.|||Starting with,"Making a fist",and understand most people don't know how to make one!

You can break your wrist, and knuckles if not properly done.

Your punch should come from the following,in a fluid motion.

First,pivoting from the Balls of your feet,waist,and shoulder,and hitting with,the knuckles of,the middle finger,ring finger(RH)and pinky,parallel(all 3).

Practice this with hitting a punching bag,or equivalent.

Eventually, you will put all this together, and then, concentrate on speed.

Be respect full however, and use this only when appropriate.|||when you punch, turn your hips and use other muscles in your arms to increase the speed of the punch, but try not to miss because that will hurt you|||Harder punches come from two muscle groups and an understanding of physics.

The pectoral and shoulder muscles are the ones that dictate how much power can be thrown into a punch, the arm itself is just a ramrod.

Knowing physics helps as well, when throwing a punch, understanding how the energy is transferred from your fist to their body helps you to understand how to throw the punch, there is actually a science to it. Professional boxers may not know the science behind it but the training they do helps them to do it instinctually.|||train all the time|||try using a heavy bag and try putting you hips into the punch|||It comes from the back and the shoulders so build them up along with your forearms. Pivot when you throw the punch and follow through and your power will improve.|||youneed to work out develop muscles and do combos not one punch
