I'm 16 years old and i punch the punching bags at my gym without gloves. It doesn't hurt my hand now but could it cause hand problems such as arthritis when i get older?|||arthritis but u can develop that any way so don't worry about it.
the effects are callused nickels and u will get small fractures int he bones in ur hand that will grow back stronger but will make it harder to flex ur hand. be careful if ur not using proper tech u can break ur wrist easily
i just suggest this. u don't need gloves but learn how to wrap ur hands. u can ware the wraps while u work out and it will save ur wrists from getting fed up.|||I would use wraps or gloves or both. if you want to practice bare knuckle try some MMA style bag gloves. they are small so its like punching with you bare fist. they also come with gel like dr sole gel inserts so they are alot safer on your wrists and shoulders.|||Probebly.
