Should senior management staff be requested to punch the clock when they arrive and leave work?

Should all staff be requested to punch the clock when they arrive and leave work? or should management staff be given more flexibility and less control due to their job level and nature of Job?|||If its a new policy it may have been put in place due to someone abusing or not putting in enough time. The employer can't single out someone for punching in if the rest of the management is not. It could also be related to cost controls and downsizing. We do it for the simple fact that we can use it for historical data, but obviously doesn't matter for salary purposes.|||Employees who punch a time clock do so to keep a record of the hours they work. Management is salaried, which means they receive the same pay regardless of the number of hours they work, so punching a time clock is useless.|||Most higher management personnel are on "salary" and don't punch clocks and usually don't get paid for overtime.|||Thats up to the employer. There is no "correct" answer.|||That's up to the person who is highest up/
