Is it possible to punch someone on the arm and render it motionless?

Is it possible to punch someone on the arm and make it so they cannot move that arm for a few minutes? If so, then how?|||Possible , but not reliable. I don't know anyone that can do it more than 10% of the time. And that is saying a lot since I've been doing martial arts for over four decades. I keep hearing people say that they can do this, but have yet to find anyone that can prove it.|||Yes it's possible. In the empty hands portion of filipino martial arts called panantukan, special maneuvers called limb destructions are used to render pain and paralysis of the attacking arm by landing precision strikes to nerve, muscle and bony areas.|||Yes it is possible. Ancient martial art masters have discovered pressure points on the human body. Punching under the armpit will short circuit the nervous system. There are alot of nerves there. Like a cluster of wires in a open area.|||If you know where to break the elbow or clavicle, that would most certainly do it. Meridians/pressure points are also an option, but you need to learn that from a qualified instructor, not over the internet.|||Absolutely but if you want to learn sign up for training from a good Sensei that will teach you the responsibility of when it is alright to use this technique.|||Well i 'render' its 'renderly' possible.|||Yep! Right underneath the the shoulder bone.
