How to throw a punch with maximum force?

Can you explain in steps, the technique used to throw a punch with the maximum force that you can exert?|||Shift your weight into your punch.


Also, sometimes a punch isn't the best option.


The knuckles are fairly weak, and if you hit a buffer target at there muscle you can bruise/break them.


Palm Strikes can be just as strong, and much less risk of breaking something.


Make sure you shift your weight though, punch at same point.


Punch through them, not just to hit.


Picture that you want your fist to go through them like a sword or something|||Bart broke it down pretty well. The only thing I would add is to push down with your rear foot as you punch. Try this: get in a punching stance near a wall. Extend your fist 3/4 out and press it against the wall. Then, push your fist into the wall hard - you will have to push with your rear foot to keep from pushing yourself backward. This pushing off your rear foot is how you generate maximum power with a punch. Unfortunately, it is not always possible to set your feet and punch with perfect form in a fight, but the more you train, the more automatic it will become. |||Right cross:





1) lead left leg facing forward, rear leg off the front leg about 90 degrees


2) relax, bring fists up to eye level and slightly out and then down.


3) build the energy from the ground up, twist your hip and torso to the left and at the same time let it push your right arm out like a piston. This has to be done in one swift moment. Turn the ball of your right foot.


4) don't lean too far forward or too far backwards...center your balance.


5) at the last moment you reach the target tense your fist, knuckles up and fingers down and twist the fist into the target.


6) try to punch THROUGH the target. Imagine putting your fist through it. You may need to take an initial step in the beginning too. It depends where your position is.





Remember, this is all ONE movement. Do not turn and then punch. Let the body and hips turn and push that arm out.|||1. get in a good stance on balls of your feet


2 extend your arm and twist it like a corkscrew and try to connect with your front two knuckles


3. use your legs at the same time you turn your arm


4. twist your waist into the punch|||Relax! Force an open hand foward and before impact close into a fist and then retract just as fast if not faster. Leave fist vertical meaning thumb is up.|||all these answers are good but they left out 1 main thing... they left out the mental part, u have to picture going through a board.


remember 90% of fighting is mental|||When the persons is not looking give him a good hook to the temple.|||hips.....period.





nothing will give you more power in a punch than throwing your hips into it. |||you have to center your bodies ballance, and step into your punch to give extra force. hope this helps
